Colorful and Affordable ideas......
Retail is $199 for this adorable cross leg desk, also available in other colors, from World Market. They have weekly sales!
Isn't this fun? I can see this in a fabulous closet or a stylish teen's room.....Urban Outfitter's.
If you cannot afford fine china for your party of 15 but want something cute and memorable, this set of dinnerware from West Elm reminds me of some of Kate Spade's delicate china pieces but for a much lower cost. These are available in 4 designs and range from $8-12 per piece. Collectable!
The perfect light fixture can make a space. I love lighting so much, but finding the right piece at the right price can be a chore. Luckily I like a challenge.
Here are five Chandeliers that won't require lay-away!
This Pendant Light from Horchow is a nice size at 24" wide, is on trend with the gold finish but still classic enough that you won't feel like replacing it again in a year. It's $595. This would be nice in a large entry way,
For something a little more edgy and modern, I love this Glass Disc Chandelier from West Elm. I think it's very unique and if I didn't know it was from West Elm, I would have guessed it was at least 3 times it's cost of $499!
This Murano Style Chandelier from Shades of Light is fabulous in three shades and very classic while being fresh because of it's cleaner lines. True Murano Glass Chandeliers will run you upwards of 2 thousand dollars, so jump at this one if you want a classic but glamorous look. It is $789.
The style below, with the wooden beads, has been very popular for over a year. I adore this Camellia Antique Silver Chandelier by Jamie Young at Zinc Door because it is updated with the dark silver beads....giving it a sophisticated look while maintaining a rustic approach and shape. It is $800.
The Sputnik style of chandelier is a MCM classic. The Helios Chandelier from Z Gallerie is a stylish look with some modern changes, but still a bit retro. At $899, it also looks like some of the very high end versions that are also available.
Would you use any of these in your home? Do you have an affordable favorite? Let me know in the comments below! Have a great week!
While design is probably my biggest passion, I am also very interested in music and the latest makeup and fashion trends, among other things. So, I've decided to start a new monthly post about what I'm currently coveting.
Welcome Fashion -Face- Music- Space to the blog (which, by the way, I am trying to make a routine!)
This month's picks are:
This Platform Wedge from Tom's is so cute and just what I want for Spring. Black and White is always on trend and these make me crave warmer weather (and a tan!)
I found a brand of make up I've never used and now have two items that I LOVE. I'll share the other one next month. But for now, this lipstick from Milani, has been my favorite! The color lasts incredibly well, and they have so many to choose from. The texture is great and the price is right!! My favorite color is Uptown Mauve from the Color Rich Collection.
Music and Design really both go head to head vying for top place among my interests. I wish I had kept up with the piano lessons when I was a teenager! I've recently learned about David O' Dowda , and I am really into him. It's just magical. Check him out! My favorite is Hold My Eyes.
Space- And for the home, I love the Golden Bar Collection from the Dwell Home Store. This shaker is just one of several items to make a collection.
Well folks, that is it until next month for my monthly must haves! Have you found any recent scores that you want to share?
This is where I share everything from design ideas and tips, images of beautiful spaces to fashion and recipes.... and of course stories and pictures of my rescue pup and sidekick, Frito Pie.
